Test results are available between 2.00pm and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection; test results are only released to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When a test is taken details will be given concerning availability of results back at the practice.

It is the patient's responsibility to check the results and to make a follow up appointment if requested by the clinician.

At the Hospital

Phlebotomy services are changing to an appointment only system to enable social distancing and reduce waiting times for patients. Patients can choose where and when they have their blood test.

Blood tests for children

Patients under the age of 16 requiring blood tests must attend Southampton General Hospital, Butterfly Room. 

Appointment booking service number for SGH Butterfly room: 02381 202024 (lines open 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday)This service is available Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8.30am to 11am and 2pm to 5pm.

At the surgery

The Practice runs a 'by appointment only' blood test appointments at our Brockenhurst or Sway Surgery. Please speak to a member of our patient services team to book an appointment.

Please remember that you MUST bring your request form with you.

Due to the recent COVID19 virus,  Lymington Hospital service will now be changing to a Booked Appointment Service as from 1st April 2020. 

All referrals will be vetted prior to appointments being booked. 

Patients to ring 01590 663110 to book an X-ray appointment after 24 hrs to allow us to process the request

Patients referred for an ultrasound or MRI scan will be contacted by the hospital with an appointment date.
