COVID Vaccinations (Update 12.1.2021)
If you received a first dose before Christmas and are expecting to return for a second dose soon...
There has been a change of plan nationally as advised by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation with a focus on giving as many people as possible a first dose with second doses around 12 weeks later. We will be in contact to arrange your second appointment closer to the time it is now due.
Please do not worry if you are aware that other local areas are following a different vaccination timetable, this is because the programme is being rolled out in Network waves with different networks having started vaccinating on different dates and in some cases with no time at all to cancel the patients that would have been booked in or no time to invite patients.
The supply chain gives us very little time to plan once we know the vaccines are on their way and what quantities we are being provided with.
